X Marks the spot

Created by Music and Mee, X Marks The Spot is a cultural platform exploring sound as identity, heritage and cultural expression, bringing together Black diasporic, Asian, Latin and Global South creativity through immersive experiences, cultural programming, live performance and collaboration.

Music shapes how cultures are understood, how communities connect and how identity travels across generations. X Marks The Spot exists where sound, identity, heritage and creativity converge.

Designed as a platform for cultural participation, X Marks The Spot creates opportunities for audiences, creators and partners to connect through heritage storytelling, live performance and dialogue, enabling organisations to bring their ambitions, initiatives and products into the experience.

Through X Marks The Spot, Music and Mee is establishing the Creator Participation Pathway, an international creator community spanning photography, film, music, design, writing and visual storytelling. Initially focused on increasing visibility for underrepresented talent, the pathway will create opportunities for participation, collaboration and creative exchange across future editions of X Marks The Spot.

The inaugural edition of X Marks The Spot launches in June 2027.
