The platform brings Black diasporic, Asian, Latin and Global South creativity to the Palais Terrace through music-led performances, immersive visuals, physical and digital brand experiences, and Fire Talk—a high-calibre conversation at the intersection of identity, culture, creativity and commerce.
Sound is the coordinate system and X Marks The Spot is the location.
Built around music literacy, participation and visibility, it guides audiences through heritage, storytelling, shared experience and emotional resonance. At its centre are creators recognised within the communities shaping global culture through sound, acknowledging those whose influence extends across the creative industries worldwide.
X Marks The Spot is delivered through our role as an Official Cannes Lions Impact and Experience Partner, contributing to the festival's Equity, Representation and Accessibility (ERA) programme. The platform creates visibility and pathways for underrepresented creatives to participate and contribute within one of the world's most influential creative ecosystems.
The inaugural platform launches in 2027 on the Palais Terrace at Cannes Lions.
